B.Mus., M.Mus.
Teaching in Kirkland, Washington
I was born in Russe, Bulgaria, where I started playing piano at the age of 4 and graduated from the Vesselin Stoyanov High School of Music. I relocated to Canada where I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance from the University of British Columbia, studying with Jane Coop, one of Canada's most recognized concert pianists and pedagogues. Following that I taught at Douglas College, the University of British Columbia Community School, and Mount Royal College, as well as at my own private piano studio. I have over 25 years of teaching experience with a focus on intermediate and advanced students. My students have been accepted at several colleges and have received first class honors with distinction in their RCM piano and music theory exams.
I strive to have a balanced approach with my students. I instill strong technical foundations, while also tailoring my approach to my students' learning styles, musical preferences, and goals.
I teach out of my home studio in North Rose Hill, Kirkland, Washington.
I am accepting applications from students ages 5 and older.
